Good Grief

Not that we needed any further evidence that the Nobel Peace Prize was a thoughtless, biased, political hack job, but Al "I invented the internet" Gore just won it. The following is priceless in the BBC article linked to:
There is some irony in the twin award, given the High Court judgement handed down in Britain this week which found that Mr Gore's film An Inconvenient Truth contained some rather important errors, despite being truthful in its central message - which was derived principally from the IPCC.
Ah yes, "some rather important errors." I believe it was reported on the Corner some time ago (maybe a year or so) that Gore admitted that he makes up many of the "facts" he shouts from his pulpit, because people need to be scared into taking action, which apparently is beyond the power of the truth. I guess all this is better, on the whole, though, than giving the Peace Prize to a confirmed terrorist.
